The cover of Justice League Task Force #27 says it all: the towering pink-skinned menace Despero storms through a storm of bullets and explosions, shrugging off the gunfire with barely contained fury — and the tagline "Don't get on his bad side… uh oh, too late!" makes clear that someone already has. Cover pencils by Dave Johnson and inks by Rich Faber give Despero a kinetic, almost unstoppable presence against a backdrop of fire and smoke. Christopher Priest and artist Ramon Bernado bring "Clear and Present Danger" to life inside, promising a 1995 JLTF issue that puts one of DC's most formidable villains front and center.
