Justice League: Generation Lost #7
Part of DC's 2010 Brightest Day event, this issue of Justice League: Generation Lost gathers a striking ensemble on Cliff Chiang's cover: Blue Beetle charges forward in his scarab armor, flanked by the hulking Soviet-marked Rocket Red, a glowing Captain Atom, a luminous fire-haired energy figure, and a white-costumed woman — all rendered in Chiang's clean, expressive linework against a bold orange-and-black backdrop. The slightly sketched, ghosted figures in the background give the composition a wonderfully layered sense of a team still coming into focus. With Judd Winick writing and Joe Bennett on interior art, this is an entertaining chapter in one of 2010's most engaging ensemble DC titles.
