Vance hunts down David Bank, the last super-powered teen from the Adrenamix survivors. He finds David in New Orleans. David's father Irving is trying to force David to uses his powers to become a hero. Researching the family, Vance discovers a history of generational child abuse. Seeing Irving almost hit David, Vance intervenes, and the two teens have a brief fight. Vance convinces both of them that this cycle of abuse needs to end. They agree, realize who he is and why he got involved, and are the better for it.
