Just Married #69
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeCharlton's long-running romance series delivered plenty of domestic drama in 1970, and Just Married #69 is a fine example of the genre at its most compelling. The cover by José Luis García-López sets the tension immediately: a blonde woman seated alone in the foreground watches, unnoticed, as a man and a dark-haired woman chat warmly in the background — the story title "Love Thy Neighbor" spelled out in bold lettering that leaves little doubt about the emotional stakes. Ghostly vignettes along the left edge reinforce the heartache brewing beneath the suburban surface, making this a quietly affecting snapshot of early-'70s romance comics at their most relatable.
