The main story, "Perils of Nyoka," follows the jungle girl Nyoka as she battles the villainous Vultura, who seeks to obtain sacred tablets of Hippocrates and containers filled with explosives of her own invention. Nyoka infiltrates Vultura's stronghold in disguise, rescues a prisoner from torture, and engages in combat with Vultura's forces while attempting to prevent the explosives from being detonated. After Nyoka defeats Vultura and a shadow beast, the stolen wealth and tablets are recovered and dedicated to building hospitals and healing the sick, with the story concluding as Nyoka reflects on her victory.
