Exploring the ruins of Camilla's city, Jon and Ruth are taken captive by Camilla's men. Camilla again asks Jon to marry her. When he refuses, Camilla has Ruth thrown in a magic pool that ages her prematurely. Jon uses Camilla's fountain of youth to restore Ruth's youth and then destroys the fountain, insuring that Camilla will age.
