“The Blade of Buddha”

In "The Blade of Buddha," a white doctor is captured by a Chinese raiding party and brought to their hidden village, where the mysterious Kaänga must navigate treachery and tradition to free the true village leader. With the help of ancient rituals and a legendary blade, Kaänga works to restore order and secure the doctor’s chance to heal Ann, whose mind is clouded by a drug-induced delirium. Written by Frank Riddell and illustrated by John Celardo, this 1948 adventure blends jungle intrigue with Eastern mysticism, all rendered in bold, expressive art on a cover also by Celardo.
