Julio Biscoto #1
Created by Tony Emeriau and Mickaël Roux, this first volume of Julio Biscoto bursts onto the scene with a wonderfully chaotic cover: a blue-masked luchador zombie riding what appears to be a skeletal creature, blasting a giant ray gun while a terrified kid scrambles to escape — all set against a spooky purple graveyard filled with glowing candles and tombstones. The playful, cartoonish energy perfectly captures the kid-friendly horror-comedy tone that Monsieur Pop Corn Kids does so well, and the tongue-in-cheek "Absolutely Definitely Totally Approved by the Comics Code Authority" stamp only adds to the fun. Aimed at readers 7 and up, this 2018 French-language adventure — Abelito a Disparu ! — looks like a gleefully irreverent treat for young fans of spooky laughs.
