Jughead with Archie Digest #56

The cover by Dan DeCarlo sets up a perfectly Riverdale kind of winter outing — Jughead insists a cold-weather picnic is blissfully free of pests, only for Archie to point out the obvious flaw in that logic as a group of girls joins them around a cheerful campfire in the snow. Both best friends flank the oval scene in their full Archie-universe glory, with Jughead in his signature crown and suspenders and Archie sporting his varsity "R" jacket. This 1983 digest packs in plenty of Samm Schwartz–drawn stories, making it a cozy read for any fan of the gang's easygoing, good-humored adventures.
