Jughead with Archie Digest #120

Stan Goldberg and Henry Scarpelli deliver a perfectly chaotic cover for this 1994 digest, showing Archie in a soft-serve uniform throwing his hands up in panic — the ice cream machine has gotten stuck and is wildly spraying soft serve — while a thoroughly unbothered Jughead lounges against the equipment, apparently unconcerned with the whole delicious disaster. It's a wonderfully funny snapshot of the boys' after-school work life, and the speech bubble ("Oh no! The ice cream machine is stuck! What do we do, Jug?") captures their dynamic in a single glance. Packed with reprints and anchored by the new story "Motor-Mouth Mantle," this digest is a great slice of classic Riverdale fun.
