Jughead's Folly #1
In "Chapter #1 'Nobody!'", Jughead Jones dreams of stardom, only to wake up back in Riverdale—where his brief fame was nothing but a fantasy. After losing his job and money in the big city, he returns home to find his old life unchanged, until Veronica invites him to her party. There, his offbeat singing catches the ear of her uncle, a talent scout who sees potential. But when the moment comes, Jughead declines the offer with a quiet smile, content to be just a "NOBODY." Written and illustrated by Joe Edwards, this 1957 classic captures a rare, introspective turn for the lovable, lazy teen, with a cover by Joe Edwards that perfectly frames his dreamlike journey.
