Jughead's mischievous streak is on full display in this July 1978 issue, as the cover — penciled and inked by Stan Goldberg — captures a wonderfully chaotic school-hallway scene: a group of girls goes airborne in shrieking panic while Jughead stands calmly nearby, delivering the deadpan punchline, "Ahh! I see someone found my pet mouse!" Archie watches the mayhem unfold beside him, books and papers scattering everywhere. It's the kind of breezy, laugh-out-loud Riverdale humor that made this series such a reliable treat throughout the era.
