Jughead dons a crown-emblazoned cape and swoops into action as "Hatman the Crowned Crusader" on this wonderfully offbeat 1990 Archie Series issue. Gene Colan and Rudy Lapick deliver a dynamic cover scene — a bat-filled, moonlit night sky frames the caped hero as he bears down on a pair of startled crooks, while a red convertible and a shadowy crown symbol loom large behind him. The gang from the Archie universe peeks in from the corner inset, and the issue even salutes artist Amanda Conner as its featured "Artist of the Month.
