Judge Dredd #15

This striking Brendan McCarthy cover — rendered in his bold, psychedelic style and noted as an homage to Steranko — places Judge Dredd front and center, triumphantly raising his Lawgiver above a swirling globe-like mass, flanked by a riot-shield-bearing Judge, a dark-haired armored woman, and a pair of menacing alien-looking figures lurking below. It's a confident, energetic composition that captures the breadth of the ensemble Dredd faces in "13 Badges Pt. 2," the continuing arc from writer Duane Swierczynski and artist Nelson Dániel. IDW's 2014 run continues to deliver, and this issue's cover alone makes a compelling case for picking it up.
