JSA: Classified #9

There's nothing quite like two JSA legends going at it, and the cover of JSA: Classified #9 (2006) delivers exactly that — Wildcat, in his blue feline costume, driving a bloodied Flash to the floor amid a wreckage of shattered glass and broken wood, while grey-clad bystanders look on in the background. A blood-streaked shield tumbling through the air overhead adds a visceral exclamation point to the chaos, all rendered with sharp intensity by cover penciler Dale Eaglesham and inker Ruy José. Peter Tomasi, Don Kramer, and Keith Champagne continue "The Spear and the Dragon" storyline here, and this bruising hero-vs.-hero image makes a compelling case for picking it up.
