JSA: Classified #14
Mike Zeck and Jerry Ordway deliver a striking cover for this September 2006 entry in DC's JSA: Classified series — a bloodied, snarling Wildcat in his cat-masked costume looms enormous over three smaller figures: Star-Girl with her cosmic staff, a gold-costumed woman, and a dark-haired heroine in blue, all pressing forward against a vivid red backdrop. The taglines "Detroit Shuffle!" and "A Game of Chance!" hint at high-stakes trouble ahead in Steve Englehart's "Double or Nothing Part One: Fast Shuffle," brought to life inside by Tom Derenick and Mark Farmer. It's a visceral, energetic package that makes a strong case for picking up this spotlight issue on Wildcat and Star-Girl.

Vixen and Gypsy save Star-Girl from being snatched by Amos Fortune, The Sportsmaster, The Wizard, and The Gambler, who planned to put her in the ring against Wildcat. When the three set out to put an end to the villainous foursome's game they are caught in the same cave Vixen and Gypsy fought Amos Fortune years before.
