A wonderfully eerie slice of early-1950s Atlas horror, this issue leads with the cover story "The House That Wasn't!" — a scene in which a man in a blue suit gestures urgently toward what appears to be a ghostly figure lurking in a darkened doorway, while a skeptical woman in red insists there's nothing there. The speech bubbles crackle with dread as the unseen (or barely seen) specter mutters that it has been waiting a long, long time. Russ Heath's work is also represented inside, and the cover's three story blurbs — including "No Death for Mr. Smith!" and "The Planet of Terror!" alongside "The Men Who Conquered the Earth" — promise a satisfying anthology of chills throughout.
