Josie and the Pussycats #69
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis Giant-sized issue of Josie and the Pussycats delivers pure early-'70s Archie charm, with cover pencils by Dan DeCarlo and inks by Rudy Lapick bringing the gang to life inside a candle shop where Alexandra has apparently had custom candles made in her own likeness — much to the amusement of Josie and Valerie, who can't help but laugh. The shop counter is crowded with wonderfully odd novelty candles, including miniature figures and a tiny Leaning Tower of Pisa, making for one of the more delightfully quirky settings the Pussycats have found themselves in. With a story by Frank Doyle titled "Ignorance Is Bliss," this 1973 issue has all the breezy wit and bright colors that made this series such a fun read.
