Cosey's Jonathan series has always paired quiet adventure with stunning landscapes, and this ninth volume, "Neal et Sylvester," is no exception. The cover, drawn and inked by Cosey himself, places two young figures — one gesturing urgently forward while the other looks on in surprise — alongside a large, open-mouthed dog, all set against billowing yellow tent fabric and a dramatic mountain backdrop. It's an inviting, warmly human snapshot from Éditions du Lombard that captures exactly the kind of companionable tension Cosey does so well.
