Jonah Hex takes a wild tumble in this June 1983 DC issue, and the cover by Ross Andru and Dick Giordano says it all — the scarred bounty hunter, leg heavily bandaged, goes airborne alongside a wheelchair while a red-cloaked figure plunges past him and armed pursuers watch from the cliffs above. With a story titled "The Wheelchair Bounty Hunter," it's clear writer Michael Fleisher has put Hex in a genuinely unusual predicament, and the kinetic cover art promises plenty of rough-and-tumble action even from a compromised position. A fun, distinctive chapter in the long-running Western series.
