Jonah Hex #18
Deep in a jungle teeming with lush greens, scarred bounty hunter Jonah Hex faces off against a bare-chested warrior mid-strike, swords flashing between them while a distressed blonde woman looks on — a cover by José Luis García-López (pencils) and Luis Dominguez (inks) that crackles with raw, kinetic energy. This November 1978 DC issue promises 44 pages of action under the tagline "Amazon Treasure... Amazon Death!", bringing writer Michael Fleisher's gritty western storytelling to an exotic new setting. If you've ever wanted to see Hex trade frontier dust for jungle danger, this is the issue to track down.
