Album 323 of the beloved Belgian series brings Jommeke and his green parrot together with a wonderfully chaotic street scene — kids, a black poodle, a rabbit, a snake, assorted animals, and what appears to be a very startled dark silhouette of a figure looming on the wall. "Superkwak en Megaboemel" promises the kind of cheerful, anything-can-happen energy that has made Jommeke a staple of Dutch-language comics, and this 2024 entry from Standaard Uitgeverij looks every bit as lively and fun as fans of the series would hope.
