Number 319 in the long-running Belgian series finds Jommeke and his friends in full flight across a sunny meadow as a swarm of oversized "super bees" buzzes around them — the giant hive looming in the foreground makes it very clear these are no ordinary insects. A white-haired elder clutches a leafy branch while Jommeke's cheerful parrot perches nearby, and the lush alpine backdrop gives the whole scene a wonderfully bright, outdoorsy energy. Jef Nys's signature clean, friendly linework is on full display in this 2024 adventure from Standaard Uitgeverij.
