# The Joker #130 This issue contains four stories. "Charlie Chutney, Little Gerkin, and Pickles the Parrot" follows the comedic misadventures of Charlie and his companions as they attempt to make hot cross buns in the kitchen, resulting in chaos when Pickles the parrot accidentally causes electrical fires and other disasters. "The Sea Hawks" is a dramatic tale of pirate Teddy Briton and his crew battling against smugglers and rival pirates, particularly the villainous Jacob Ladd, in a thrilling struggle for control of the seas. "The House of Shadows" presents an Easter mystery involving young Tony Bedford discovering a hidden shadow on his uncle's bedroom wall that leads to the revelation of a secret passage and stolen jewels hidden in the family home. The issue also includes shorter humorous strips: "Doctor Doodah," "Billy Bones in the Stone Age," "Rex and Rox," and "Hopeful Harry the Happy Hawker," along with "The Liveliest Lads Alive" and an advertisement for Nelson Lee.
