Johnny Mack Brown #6

Johnny Mack Brown uncovers a plot by outlaws posing as honest men who plan to frame him for crimes they've committed, with a masked bandit controlling the scheme from behind the scenes. After being rescued from a mine explosion by a stranger named Gabriel, Brown works to expose the gang's deception before they can carry out their plan at a town meeting. The issue also features a backup story, "Talkin' Shadows," in which a magician named Dud Wilson and his horse Spooky become embroiled in a shooting incident on the edge of gold country.
