The volume compiles the full run of the series, which follows the adventures of the titular character as he navigates contemporary challenges while honoring his wartime origins.
In "Smashing the Swastika!", Johnny Canuck plunges into the heart of Nazi Berlin on a high-stakes mission to aid a local spy ring. After a daring infiltration of Hitler’s office ends in capture, Johnny finds unexpected help from Etta, whose quiet courage ignites his resolve to return and free her. Written and illustrated by Leo Bachle, this 2015 tale blends wartime grit with personal conviction, all rendered in Bachle’s distinctive style—both cover and interior by the same hand.
