John Wick looms large in cool blue shadow over a chaotic street scene on Giovanni Valletta's cover — several armed figures, including a young woman with a pistol and two battered men, are caught amid rubble while a gunman silhouetted against a blazing, smoke-filled building holds his ground in the background. The composition does a fine job of conveying the layered danger and gritty atmosphere that surrounds the world's most relentless assassin. Dynamite's 2018 series continues to translate the film's kinetic tension into vivid comic-book form, and issue three looks like a compelling chapter in that run.
