John Wayne Adventure Comics #25

This anthology issue contains at least two stories: "The Deserter," in which a man waiting in Paris for a dead soldier named Valente reflects on the soldier's extraordinary nature; and "The Claws of Death," featuring Rick Hobson and his pal Bacon who encounter a savage feline killer in the wilderness and witness a horrifying scene with what appears to be a large creature. The issue also includes an action sequence involving a lieutenant and military personnel in combat near water, with references to a young boy named Tyke caught in dangerous circumstances.
