Peter David returns to one of his most beloved Hulk personas as Joe Fixit — the grey, mob-enforcer incarnation of Bruce Banner — strides poolside in a sharp pinstripe suit, fedora, and two-toned shoes, cocktail in one hand and a hapless goon dangling from the other, with a discarded gun and a skull floating in the pool behind him. Cully Hamner's cover drips with Vegas swagger, capturing the grey goliath at his most coolly menacing. With David reunited with the character and Yıldıray Çınar on interior art, this 2023 series looks like a very stylish return to the neon-lit underworld where the Hulk wears a tie.
