After resting and gathering his strength, Jo-Jo is confronted by slimy creatures and must defend himself against rodents infesting an island, ultimately solving a jungle problem with the aid of fire and torches. In the story's conclusion, Jo-Jo is turned over to a girl's father for punishment, but the father instead rewards him as a lesson for listening to Tora, with Jo-Jo's mate receiving cold and punishment instead.
When a mysterious corpse washes up in the river, Jo-Jo dismisses it as a trick of shadow—but the tarantula men are very real. An earthquake tears open the earth itself, releasing a legion of spider-human hybrids from an underground realm called Zombo, and they've taken Tanee captive along with other villagers; now Jo-Jo must track these fearsome creatures to their hidden caves and confront an enemy unlike any he's faced before.
When superstition and deception grip Jo-Jo's jungle, the Congo King must separate truth from terror—discovering that the fearsome Feathered Serpent plaguing the land may be far more sinister than legend suggests. As Jo-Jo fights to protect his people and his mate Tanee from a cunning scheme, he'll face a monster that challenges even his legendary strength, all while uncovering the witch-doctor Fucha's twisted plot to control the jungle through fear.
A Bostonian bride follows her husband Paul Cravel westward to the California gold fields, but fate and violence set her on a darker path—one that leads her through two marriages and ultimately to leadership of an outlaw gang known far and wide as British Caryl. This historical tale traces how ambition and circumstance transformed an ordinary woman into a frontier legend, before the law finally caught up with her in 1873.
In "Rodent Island," Jo-Jo races across treacherous terrain to rescue Tanee, who’s been taken by the jealous Torla to the infamous Island of Rodents. With danger lurking in every shadow and Torla’s scheme unfolding, Jo-Jo must outwit both the island’s deadly inhabitants and the cunning woman who seeks to claim him.
Little Rick Gordon's dreams become high adventure in this tale of mystery and imagination that unfolds across the pages of Jo-Jo Comics. What begins as an ordinary night takes on extraordinary proportions as the young boy's subconscious mind conjures up the kind of excitement most kids only read about. It's a fascinating glimpse into how a child's dreams can transport him to worlds far beyond his everyday reality.
