☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue features the main story "Congo King" by Stan Ford, in which adventuress Martha seeks a jungle guide and encounters Jo-Jo, the Congo King, whom the commissioner recommends for his knowledge of the jungle. A scientist's research experiment has gone wrong in a fair city, releasing a slip of fingers that has made the entire city skyward, prompting Jo-Jo and Martha to investigate "The Forsaken City." The issue also advertises additional stories including "Ivory Killer," "The Death Traveler," and "Forsaken City," alongside typical period advertisements.
Martha seeks adventure in the jungle and gets paired with Jo-Jo, the Congo King, as her guide—only to stumble upon a murder that leads them into a deadly mystery involving a desert cult and a sinister leader named Kamar. As danger closes in from all sides, Jo-Jo and Martha must uncover the truth behind the "Death Traveler" killings before the desert murderers silence them for good.
Jo-Jo and Tanee venture into a mysterious abandoned metropolis deep in the jungle, only to discover it's very much inhabited—by a mad scientist and his daughter who have been living in luxury amid the ruins of a city they destroyed years ago. When the scientist realizes intruders could expose his dark secret, he moves to silence them, forcing Jo-Jo to battle his way through traps, beasts, and murderous schemes to save Tanee and escape the forsaken city's grip.
