☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue contains two science fiction stories. "Jet Power" follows a pilot navigating a turbulent underground passage with a gravitation device, racing against torrent river waters and giant engines to escape a collapsing hangar before reaching the river. "Space Ace" is set three hundred years in the future on a colonized Mars, where a mysterious adventurer called Space Ace battles desert-dwelling creatures and contends with a malfunctioning spacecraft while combating atomic-powered threats in the Syrtis Major Basin.
Jet Powers races to stop a series of mysterious, man-made earthquakes linked to a hidden enemy in the Himalayas, confronting the sinister Mr. Sinn and his forces. After a daring journey through the Mekong River and a tense showdown at a subterranean fortress, Jet finds himself captured—only to discover Su Shan, a young woman caught in the crossfire, as the situation spirals into a deadly game of wits.
Jet Powers pursues the fugitive Mr. Sinn across the globe, tracking him to a hidden laboratory in the Chilean Andes and then into space, where Sinn has constructed a man-made moon to evade capture and continue his schemes. As Jet closes in, he discovers that Su Shan, Sinn’s assistant, has been manipulated into amnesia, and their fates become entangled in a desperate race to prevent the metal moon from crashing to Earth.
In "The Desert Devils!", Space Ace races across the red dunes of Mars, chasing a band of rogue robots that ambush cargo planes with deadly precision. When the robots’ photoelectric cells activate upon the sight of passing ships, the young pilot must uncover the truth behind their sudden aggression—leading him to the forgotten remains of a long-dead Keeper of the Sands and a dormant control panel still humming with power.
When a mysterious meteor crashes in the desert, a tiny alien insect named Nev Tow emerges and begins secretly studying humanity, using scavenged parts to build devices that allow it to probe human minds and plan to trigger atomic explosions as signals to its people. As the creature's experiments draw the attention of a lone scientist, Jet Powers, who investigates the strange activity, the two are soon locked in a tense game of wits beneath the desert, where every move could mean the difference between discovery and disaster.
