This issue contains two stories featuring combat pilots during the Korean War. "Sabre Ace" follows Steve Kendall, son of a decorated World War I fighter pilot, as he trains at a base in Texas and later engages in aerial combat over Korea, where he must prove himself in battle. "Jeeps" depicts ground troops in the rugged Korean mountains facing desperate circumstances, with a wounded soldier's survival depending on a helicopter rescue, while pilot Merrill demonstrates skilled flying to extract the casualty from enemy-held territory.
