David Mack's haunting cover for this 2018 Marvel Legacy issue says everything without showing everything: Jessica sits hunched and defeated on a chair, her head bowed, while the spectral purple visage of the Purple Man looms above her like a stain spreading through watercolor — the words "I will always be in your head" and "Smile, Jessica" scratched across the image like a threat. The psychological dread radiating from this cover sets a fittingly unsettling tone for "Return of the Purple Man," the storyline promised by the banner above.
