Jess Long #3
This 1978 Dupuis album collects two "Police Spéciale" adventures under the Histoires Peu Ordinaires banner, with the lead story titled "La piste sanglante" and a second tale, "L'homme du bout de la nuit." Arthur Piroton's cover drops us into a tense winter scene — a dark-clad figure crouches in the snow while a second character in a fur-collared coat stands alert, all while a rifle barrel juts dramatically into the foreground from a rocky outcrop. The cold, spare palette and crisp linework make clear why Jess Long, crafted by the team of Tillieux and Piroton, earned its place among the finest Franco-Belgian detective series of its era.
