Jeremiah #[15]
Hermann's long-running post-apocalyptic series brings a quieter, more intimate mood to this 1990 Dupuis volume, subtitled "Alex." The cover, illustrated by Hermann himself, places a young blond figure at the center — watchful and a little wary — alongside a small chimpanzee perched nearby amid a tangle of weathered poles or scaffolding, rendered in Hermann's characteristically lush, painterly style. It's a striking, almost tender image that hints at an unlikely companionship set against a world still finding its footing after collapse.
