Jean de Florette #2
Adapting Marcel Pagnol's beloved Provençal story, this second part of the Jean de Florette graphic novel brings the sun-drenched Midi landscapes to vivid life through the linework of Alexandre Tefenkgi. The cover captures a small group of figures — a woman in period dress, a man in a broad-brimmed hat, a laden donkey, and a young girl in red — picking their way along a rocky Provençal hillside, wildflowers dotting the scrubland beneath a wide blue sky. Writers Serge Scotto and Éric Stoffel continue their faithful homage to Pagnol, and this warm, beautifully composed image alone sets the mood for the drama unfolding in the garrigue below.
