January Jones is back, and this 2016 album from Don Lawrence Collection puts the spirited, curly-haired hero front and center in a grand throne room setting — katana raised and ready, a sly grin on his face that says he's entirely comfortable in the most regal of situations. Eric Heuvel's clean, vivid artwork frames January against an ornate canopied throne, golden sunburst emblems flanking him like a court prepared for something dramatic. De eerste keizer ("The First Emperor") is a fitting subtitle for a cover this self-assured, and fans of the series will find it a welcoming entry in this long-running Dutch adventure series.
