James Bond #10
The tenth issue of Dynamite's "Eidolon" arc closes out this Warren Ellis and Jason Masters run on Ian Fleming's most enduring spy with a strikingly minimalist cover by Dom Reardon — a ghost-like Bond rendered in loose, smoky graphite trails stands weapon raised in the upper left, while a very real, very solid pistol dominates the foreground below. The contrast between Bond's ethereal silhouette and the cold, grounded weight of that gun says everything about the tension at the heart of this story without spelling out a word. If you've been following Ellis's take on 007, this is the issue that brings it all to a head.
