James Bond 007: Your Cold, Cold Heart #[nn]
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeJames Bond 007: Your Cold, Cold Heart stands as Dynamite Entertainment's deliberate ten-year anniversary celebration of holding the Bond comics license, marking a full decade since the publisher launched its first 007 series in November 2015. The six-issue story brought Garth Ennis — one of the medium's most distinctive voices on war and espionage fiction — to the Bond franchise for the first time, offering a self-consciously Fleming-flavored take that leaned into the literary spy's darker, more damaged qualities rather than the cinematic archetype. For the franchise's comics history, it represents a notable creative milestone: the pairing of a writer known for unflinching, morally complex genre work with an IP that has cycled through numerous publishers and tonal registers since 1962. The arc also reunited artist Rapha Lobosco with Bond, building on the visual vocabulary Lobosco had established in earlier Dynamite chapters like Black Box.

Dynamite Entertainment acquired its license from Ian Fleming Publications in October 2014 and launched its first Bond comic in November 2015, beginning what would become a decade-long run of arcs, miniseries, and adaptations. Your Cold, Cold Heart was conceived as both a creative refresh and an anniversary marker: Garth Ennis, co-creator of Preacher and The Boys, took the helm on the 2024 series with issue #1 launching in January 2024, with Ennis publicly stating his desire to excavate the literary Fleming Bond — 'a much darker character in a more interesting world' — rather than the more broadly recognizable film version. The collected hardcover edition, edited by Joseph Rybandt with Ivan Cohen as collection editor, was published June 10, 2025 and also released in a signed hardcover variant.
