This Fall 1941 issue of Jackpot Comics packs four MLJ heroes — Steel Sterling, Black Hood, Mr. Justice, and Sergeant Boyle — into one ten-cent package of "All Brand New Stories." Carl Hubbell's cover art drops us into a tense underground confrontation, where a yellow-costumed masked hero and a red-clad fighter square off against green-skinned villains, while a bound woman looks on in the background. With Joe Blair writing and Irv Novick on interior art, it's a solid showcase of what early-'40s superhero anthologies did best.
