Trez's sardonic cartoon series turns its gentle wit toward celebrity culture in this third installment from Hoëbeke. The cover says it all: a bewildered yellow dog sits before an elaborate tiered monument inscribed "Brigitte Bardot — Enlevée à l'affection des chiens," complete with a barking donut at its base — a perfectly absurdist tribute to the actress's famous love of animals. If you've been following Trez's J'aime pas series, this 2007 entry promises more of the same dry, affectionate irreverence that makes it such a pleasure.
