The irresistibly goofy Muco dominates the foreground of this volume's cover, her enormous drooling face pressed comically close as if breaking through the fourth wall entirely. Behind her, a lively storefront scene unfolds with Komatsu-san and a couple of other characters going about their day, providing a perfect contrast between Muco's overwhelming enthusiasm and ordinary human life. Takayuki Mizushina's warm, expressive art captures everything that makes this slice-of-life series about a Shiba Inu and her devoted owner so endearing.
