It Girl! and the Atomics #6

Michael Allred's pop-art sensibility is on full display on this cover, where It Girl — hands manacled and raised above her head — kneels at the center of enormous swirling red-and-yellow coils while a green-haired, glowing-eyed villain looms menacingly behind her. The composition crackles with that bright, retro-mod energy the series delivers so well, and a pull quote from Kathryn Immonen promises a heroine on the very edge of a rampage.
