Band 4 of this beloved German-language Isnogud series brings together the scheming Großwesir himself front and center — rendered by Jean Tabary with gleeful energy — shown lounging in an ornate tub while his mischievous expression promises no shortage of trouble for the Kalif Harun al Fuggah. A smaller inset scene in the corner hints at further fantastical chaos, with a dark, cloaked figure adding an air of sorcerous intrigue. With René Goscinny's wit behind the stories and Tabary's expressive linework across every page, this 1990 Dargaud/Delta Verlag edition is a thoroughly entertaining entry in the adventures of comics' most delightfully inept would-be usurper.
