Tony Stark, as Iron Man, heads to Washington for a high-stakes court hearing with Senator Byrd when a sudden threat emerges from the skies. In a remote Communist Bloc nation, an upgraded Titanium Man is launched on a rocket course for the same city, and as an air force jet intercepts the missile, the armored figure bursts free—ready to clash with Iron Man in a battle of wills and steel.

In "By Force of Arms!", Iron Man faces off against Titanium Man in a sky-high clash above Washington D.C., drawing a stunned crowd below. Among the onlookers are Pepper and Happy, caught in the crossfire as Titanium Man disables Iron Man with a paralysis beam—only for the hero to counter by short-circuiting the attack with a live wire. When Titanium Man shifts his beam to target Pepper and demands surrender, Iron Man must think fast to protect her without losing the fight.
