Absynthe's army of robots assaults the Samuel Sawyer to destroy it. Iron Man battles them heroically, but realizes he may not have enough time to disarm the vessel's nuclear payload when Major Tom activates it as a failsafe. Learning that the flesh and blood Tony Stark is still alive, Iron Man consoles himself that regardless of what happens, at least one of them will live. As he prepares to disarm the payload, he notes he has 0.009 seconds remaining; "that's an eternity."
