Two armored titans face off on this September 1994 cover — the familiar red-and-gold Iron Man suit looms large in the foreground while a darker, blue-and-red armored figure stands defiantly opposite, cables trailing as the cover copy pointedly asks, "Will the REAL Tony Stark… step forward?" The inset portrait of a sharp-eyed Tony Stark in the corner adds another layer to the identity tension Tom Morgan's cover so effectively sets up.
