The tagline says it all — "Vengeance Belongs to Blacklash!" — and this May 1981 issue delivers a cover that crackles with threat, as a whip-wielding Blacklash dominates the foreground in his sweeping purple cape, coiling his weapon toward a battle-ready Iron Man standing his ground in the classic red-and-gold armor. Bob Layton's cover linework is sharp and kinetic, capturing the raw menace of the confrontation against a striking concentric-circle backdrop. With David Michelinie and Layton steering the series and John Romita Jr. on interior art, this is a strong chapter in one of Marvel's most dependable action titles of the era.
