Danny Rand surges toward the viewer on Jeff Dekal's striking cover, both fists blazing with chi energy — one arm cocked back, the other thrust forward in a burst of blinding light — clad in his black-and-gold costume against a crisp blue sky. The low-angle perspective gives the Immortal Iron Fist an almost elemental force, framed by what appear to be dark blades cutting across the background. With Ed Brisson writing and Mike Perkins on art, this 2017 series opener — "The Trial of the Seven Masters Part One" — promises a fresh, kinetic chapter for one of Marvel's most compelling martial arts heroes.
